Lees in het Nederlands

Eifel National Park, founded in 2004, covers 11,000 hectares where the forest is allowed to grow wild again. Around a thousand red deer live here, along with wildcats, eagle owls, black storks, beavers and fire salamanders.

Short answer: for red deer, head to the open Dreiborner Hochfläche near Vogelsang, with a viewing platform near Dreiborn. For birds there is a hide on the Urftsee. Hike the four-day Wildnis-Trail. Always stay on the paths: the plateau was a military training area for sixty years.
